The Fruit of the Good News: Old School and New School
May 7, 2017 Series: Romans
Topic: Topical Passage: Romans 5:1–5:11
There’s “old school” and then there’s “new school.” Old school is not always right or wrong, and neither is new school. The good news of Jesus has both “hard,” old school doctrinal elements, as well as “soft,” experiential, new school benefits. A bloody cross, freedom from God’s wrath, and reconciliation of enemies are all fruits of justification. But so are peace, joy, hope, and access to God. The benefits of justification by faith are larger and greater than we sometimes know or celebrate.
